In the course of the economic incidents in 08/09 many innovations, especially in Life Sciences are facing an increased pressure to succeed. Research group leaders have been responsive to that with great precaution. Hard efforts and in depth studies, catching up with the state of the art and the adoption of methods and techniques from other disciplines are still the basis of prosperous work.
Targeting both, the “Engineering of Functional Interfacing” workshop is especially designed for young researchers dealing with processes at interfaces in medicine, pharmacy, molecular biology, biochemical sensors, catalysis and engineering. Emphasizing modelling and methodologies serve as a common language and meet prevalent challenges at these stages of career, too.
In 2010, EnFI will be organized by the Philipps-Universität Marburg, Faculty of Pharmacy after very successful previous year’s events held in Hasselt, Belgium and Jülich and Dortmund in Germany. The general scope includes:
- Soft and Inorganic Thin Films
- Nano Particles / Drug Delivery
- Bio Hybrid Materials
- Sensor Layers and Catalysis
for which survey lectures are given by renowned experts. The emphasis, however, is put on the presentation of recent results from different areas where young researchers is given ample time for discussions held in the light of different views, modelling approaches and towards applicative use. Aattending editors which assist in preparation of refereed publications make the workshop nearly perfect and all of that is set in a rewarding, stylish-decent framework. The organizers and the scientific advisory board are cordially inviting you to join the workshop.
